Why we started

Elevating Demolition Services to New Heights: Dick Lewis, driven by a vision to redefine the industry, made the pivotal decision to step away from previous ventures and establish his own, now renowned as the Lewis Group. The genesis of Regional Recycle emerged from a critical question in the demolition process: What becomes of the materials once a structure is dismantled? Recognising the unsustainable norm of sending everything to landfill, especially materials like concrete and brick, sparked the inspiring inception of Regional Recycle.

From modest beginnings with a smaller team, we’ve undergone significant growth, now catering to the diverse needs of clients spanning from large-scale civil projects to local homes.

With a dedicated team of specialists, the Lewis Group is at the forefront of meeting the increasing demand for recycled products—growing at an impressive rate of 30-50% annually. Aligned with State Government initiatives, our aim is Zero Waste, a commitment evident in all our projects. All construction and demolition waste are processed at our Fyansford site, contributing to a sustainable and circular economy.

Our headquarters are situated in Fyansford, Geelong and we extend our recycling services on-site to individuals with a bucket load right through to commercial businesses with substantial projects and contract-based arrangements.

In addition to recycling and producing high-quality, environmentally sustainable aggregates, we offer services such as demolition, excavation, site remediation, mobile crushing and plant hire.
